Any chance anyone can help me ID this weed that I have growing in my yard? Princess Leia seems to like it, but I want to make sure it is safe for her to eat.

Strong roots. (Similar to dandelion roots.) Grows randomly around yard. Also grows in cracks in my patio and along driveway. I live in CT.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Looks like it could be Johnson grass?? If that's what it is it should be OK to eat but i'm not positive about that.

It is grass of some sort. I wouldn't worry about it. If it was bad, she wouldn't continue to eat large quantities.

I was thinking crab grass as well. Should be safe, right? Our lawn has never been treated. (probably why we have crab grass!)

I don't know the name, but I recognize the plant, I have it every where on the ground and in the pots.I cut it up and feed it to the youngsters, along with the many other weeds that I call grass.
