I'm in Northern Arizona and we are getting monsoons every evening/night. This morning it as I type, it is 66 degrees and wet with a bit of wind....I'm worried about Bella....is this too chilly for her with it being wet? I know wet and too cool is not good and cause shell rot....do I need to bring her in now?
Thanks

Do you have a good, warm, dry enclosure for her inside? If you do, I would take her in just to be on the safe side. You might want to soak her daily for a couple days after you bring her in, though, so it isn't so much of a shock for her to go from such wet weather to completely dry weather. The information that wet and cool causes shell rot is somewhat outdated, in fact it is good for them to have some exposure to humidity, but wet weather 24/7 could be a problem and might also put Bella up for possible respiratory infections.
