Water bowl obsession?

Hey guys,

The male boxie I rescued seems to have an obsession with his water bowl.

He does nothing but sit in it day in and day out. I have removed him, but 10 mins. later he is right back. Is this normal? Should I be worried?

When he came in he was very thirsty, but this just takes the cake. LOL

In my experience a box turtle that doesn't feel well will sit in the water 24/7. I'd be willing to bet he has parasites. You need to take a fecal sample to the vet, and don't just worm for "worms", the ones you can see, ask him to check for flagelates, the ones you can't see. This takes a different kind of de-wormer medicine.

I was thinking the same thing, but wanted someone elses opinion too. As soon as I get a good fecal sample, I will wisk it to the vet.
