UPDATE: Turtle Baby is doing remarkably well for the trauma that he sustained when mauled by our dog (see original post for more information http://www.tortoiseforum.org/Thread-PLEASE-HELP-ASAP-ATTACKED-BY-DOG?pid=532722#pid532722 ).
The vet said that Turtle Baby probably wouldn't eat for at least two weeks, however, he ate a whole hisbicus flower on Monday (8 days after the attack). On Tuesday and today he has eaten a few bites of different things that I have given him.
Every day I soak him in an antiseptic solution. Then I put on an antibiotic ointment, put gauze on the two worst wounds and wrap his shell with tape to hold the gauze in place. I feel so bad for him. He is such a sweet trusting little guy.
I will keep everybody posted as to his progress.
