OK. I'm getting closer to starting my indoor winter enclosure intended for a small turtle. (Hopefully a CB Pyxidea). I plan to build for high humidity and a friend of mine who is in construction recommended I use teak or cypress for an enclosure with high humidity. This friend also happens to have some left over teak from a previous construction project. I figure since we use cypress mulch as a substrate that a cypress wood enclosure would be OK. Teak is from Asia anyway, so if I ever got a Pyxidea it would be a wood from the same original habitat. Thoughts or experience with these woods?
