I've ordered Tortoise Tweeds and offered them to Sonne. . . .he won't even bat an eye (big surprise *not*, he's quite picky). Just curious if anyone else has had luck with them?

you should order the tortoise seed mix form carolinasupply.com i planted some about 5 days ago and everything is already 3-4 inches tall.you can grow it in a flat under a regular "twist" fluorescent bulb.it has a few types of grasses, couple of clovers, and some weeds.

No, its frozen weeds. They come in a package with little cubes (like ice cubes) and you just let them thaw then serve~

I found a forum which gave an ingredient list, but can't find anything about the actual product. Very interesting. Where did you buy it, what brand, etc?

Ingredients, water, Hay Grass, Alfalfa Meal, Timothy Meal, Hempsead Meal, Organic Prickley Pear cactus, Flax Seed Meal, Sodium Alginate (binder), Calcium Carbonate, Dandelion Greens, Mustard Greens, Yellow Squash, Citrus Fiber, Hibiscus Powder, Lavendar Flowers, Lemon Grass, Oat Flour, Prickly Pear Fruit Juice Concentrate, Propolis, Red Clover Tops, Natural Flavoring (hibiscus), Pediococcus acidilactici, Enterococcus faecium, Lactobacillus plantarum, Garlic, Yucca Powder, Haematococcus algae meal, Vitamin pre-mix, Alfalfa Powder, Rosemary Powder.

Not fond of the alfalfa and oat flour but otherwise it isn't that bad. I'd of course choose fresh over any commercial food, but sounds similar to Mazuri and Grassland, although frozen.

Found it! http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produ...ubref=AA&ci_src=16435691&ci_sku=0035383000000 Looks expensive at $4 for 3.5 oz, and I imagine they have to ship it on ice or something? This site says:

Water as necessary for processing, Hay Grass, Alfalfa Meal, Timothy Meal, Hempseed Meal, Organic Prickly Pear Cactus, Flax Seed Meal, Sodium Alginate, Calcium Carbonate, Dandelion Greens, Mustard Greens, Yellow Squash, Sodium Hexametaphosphate, Citrus Fiber, Hibiscus Powder, Lavender Flowers, Lemon Grass, Oat Flour, Prickly Pear Fruit Juice Concentrate, Propolis, Red Clover Tops, Natural Flavoring, Pediococcus acidilactici, Enterococcus faecium, Lactobacillus plantarum, Garlic, Yucca Powder, Haematococcus Algae Meal, D-Alpha Mixed Tocopherols (Vitamin E), Wheat Flour, Vitamin A Acetate, Cholecalciferol (source of Vitamin D3), Vitamin B12 Supplement, Riboflavin, Niacin, Calcium Panthothenate, Folic Acid, Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Thiamine Mononitrate, Biotin, Inositol, L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate, Betaine, Alfalfa Powder, and Rosemary Powder.

hahah yeah that site charges $25 for 1 day shipping for frozen tort foods!

Yes, it was a bit expensive. I was also hoping that if he'd accept the Tweeds, he'd perhaps become more accustomed to fibrous foods (hays, etc.), as right now he does not pay any attention to any type of grasses or hays (he'll only eat the spring mix and cactus pads).
