1:00 ‐ 2:30––––Keynote: Dr. Charles Innis – Chelonian Reproductive/Egg Issues (bio below)
2:30 - 2:45––––break
2:45 - 3:45––––Afternoon breakout sessions
3:45 - 4:45––––Reconvene to share breakout summaries
4:45 - 5:00––––Wrap up and future plans for Turtle Intensives

Break out topic sessions may include:

* Red Eared Slider - Solutions to abundance and inappropriate release
* Turtles in the classroom
* Biosecurity - ways to get the word out

Keynote: Chelonian reproduction/egg issues

Dr. Charles Innis received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Cornell University in 1990 and his doctorate in veterinary medicine (VMD) from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. He worked with small animals and exotics in private practice from 1995-2005, and has been working full time at New England Aquarium since 2005, where he is currently the Director of Animal Health. He holds adjunct teaching positions at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Connecticut Department of Pathobiology, and Mount Ida College. Dr. Innis is a member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Specialist Group, the IUCN Marine Turtle Specialist Group, and is Past President of the Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians.
