Trying to I.D. this little guy

I'm trying to find out what kind of little guy we have. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Looks like a Trachemys scripta, but without a better picture, I'm not really sure.

Are there elongated red splotches on the side of its head behind the eyes when it sticks its head out?

There is no red that we can see
