Troggy did not gain or lose weight this week. I'm not surprised; he was a bit stressed it by his move. He seems to be settling in finally, so hopefully he'll gain a small amount this coming week, though I wouldn't be sad if his growth slowed some.

222g, still 11cm long. Doing more exploring of his enclosure. Also, obviously judging me.

I feel like i saw troggy's new pad but I don't see it here, did I see it in the enclosure section? if not you need to show it! How old is Troggy by the way? If I remember he is the same age as Bascha, then Gus Gus and Loki are a month or so younger. Gus Gus was 164 grams today after a big old poo (forgot to respond to you). Loki is still slow going at 105 grams but his shell is sooooo smooth. My wife loves how Gus has the same grumpy eyes as Troggy does haha :)

Troggy is right around 8 months old now, and 244g as of Thursday. He suddenly looks like a juvenile and not a hatchling. He also looks more like a she, though I know that's common at this age.

There's a thread in the enclosure section authored by my partner (@LemmyBites) that shows the build from start to finish and has a ton of photos. It's a lot like your enclosure, I think.

I really like both of those enclosures. I actually plan on replace my sliding doors with ones that open up like yours. The plexi glass started to warp and i even got 1/4 inch sheets so I am a bit surprised them are warping, oh well. Gus and Loki are 10 days under 7 months old so a little bit younger. Loki grows so much slower but is dramatically flatter than Gus and Troggy but just as long. It is quite interesting.... I will have to take a picture that shows how much flatter and show you.

Quick update before a big Christmas Eve dinner: Trogdor weighs 270g! I didn't measure him because I was crushed for time, but I'll do it next week.

Also, he's started charging me expecting food every time he sees me. He cocks his head slightly and just walks as fast as he can in my direction.

Nice looking tort.
He's like, "what am I doing on here".

I have to stand mine on an egg cup so they stay still. Lol. I call it " air swimming ".

I'm going to have to do that soon, not because he won't be still (he just sits there giving me a nasty look) but because he's spilling over the edges of the food scale. He's such a giant beast compared to the little hatchling I received in August!

How old is he, he's about the same weight as my 19 month old.

327g! He's graduated to soaking in the sink of our guest bathroom since he can no longer turn around in the bread pan I've been using.

Last night, for the first time since I've had him, he came directly to me from the opposite side of his enclosure. He'd been in his "bed" (the spot he buries himself at night) and I went to check on him. His head popped up, he stared at me for a moment, then got up and came clear across the full six feet of the enclosure to say hi (ei. see if I had food). I rewarded him with a piece of dry mazuri, which he ate like it was the best thing ever.

I know he just thinks of me as a food machine, but that was still highly rewarding.

Ruby also thinks of us as the food gods. Vern...well, we aren't sure Vern thinks of anything. He seems like he's a little slow, even for a tortoise.

I've had a bit of an overwhelming few weeks (change is afoot in my life) and have been remiss in weekly measurements, but Troggy was 365g and 13cm last night. No photos, though I plan to get some new ones up soon. Enclosure overhaul is coming tomorrow too... I think his dogs are too bright for his liking, so I'm adding more hides for him.

He and Ruby are in the same weight bracket. I look forward to fresh photos, I just put up a few. I'd be interested to see his underside since he is so much younger than Ruby. I want to see what her bits look like compared to his.
