Trader Joes has Artichoke Hearts frozem

Trader Joes is now selling artichoke hearts in a bag (frozen).
Super convenient.
They have none of the salt you get in canned. There is a bit of citric acid in it but nothing you can taste.

Didn't know they were good to feed. I have seen them on the do not feed list.
It's thistle flower, thistle is a good food, tortoises tear into when it pops up in enclosures. I've not thought to try this out, but it's a good idea.

Frequently putting new and unique (appropriate) foods in the diet in small amount is the prevention against "my tortoise will only eat blah blah blah". Great post.

Did not know this. Never heard that artichoke was thistle.
