Hey guys, I am looking to trade my male Russian tortoise for a Hermann or Greek tortoise. I just got my Russian tortoise about two weeks and have an outdoor enclosure for him. However, I recently learned that Russian tortoises do not do well in a subtropical climate because of the high humidity. I purchased my adult Russian tortoise from a relatable breeder (https://www.arizonatortoisecompound.com), and he is captive-bred. If anybody is interested, please message me. I want to make the trade locally if possible. I live in Houston, Texas. Thank you.

Actually your tort will do just fine there. All tortoises need humidity, specially when hatchlings, 80%. As an adult, russians will benefit from a 50% humidity.
Hermanns has the same care as a Russian.
thank you so much for your reply! I am not longer looking for a trade lool
