Tortoise soaking idea!

6E8C532B-166F-4441-B4CC-3F2D0481B6A1.jpeg I don’t know why I haven’t thought of this before. I put a cooler in Rex’s night box, with the thermostat set to 85 degrees, it warms the water so in the morning before work, I can soak him. Clean it out and fill it back up and let it warm again.
I wedge the top open to make sure he doesn’t suffocate. I thought it was a good idea and just wanted to share

I’m just thinking, it’s easy enough to fill up a container, like your cooler or any other one with warm water. Anyhow, if it works for you, great!

Once the water is heated, it stays warm helping to heat the night box with that moist heat. I like it.

I take care of a small farm before heading off to work, any way to save time helps lol
