This is not all that abnormal given how things have been for the last few decades.

Looks like a couple of them were grown in conditions that were too dry, but that doesn't mean they are unhealthy in any way. If all else is good, pyramiding is just cosmetic.

Pyramided tortoise have been "the norm" for decades. You hadn't noticed?

Its only in the last few years that more people have been learning how to grow them smoothly.

Talking about sulcatas, stars and leopards here.

No,just the opposite is true. We're seeing more and more smooth sulcatas and leopards, while pyramided leopards and sulcatas were the norm just two or three years ago.

and i tried to tell the owner but he ignored me
That`s what I feared. The owner don`t want to listen to you. He thought he has done the best for the torts.
I know you are right, I can understand what you feel by viewing the pictures of the torts. I hope too that they go to a good home.

Yes, they are pyramided. But I agree with others, it' far from the worst I've seen. They look pretty healthy.

We also don' know when/where he got them. I have a redfoot with pyramiding that I adopted that way from a rescue.

I don't blame him. These tortoises are just fine and there's no reason in the world he shouldn't offer to sell them for money if he wants to. It would be like someone telling you you should donate your for sale car rather than asking money for it because the body has a few rust spots, even though the motor works fine.
