So it's been a few months since ive seen my little ginger look puffy like this. I soak 2x a day for 20 minutes and feed mulberry leaves, aloe, opuntia cactus and hibiscus leaves. A week ago i visited the vet and he told me that my guy looks normal but for the past 2 months she isnt drinking on her own so i wet her food and i have seen no urates in her pee for a while now. Her last mazuri feeding was on april and i sometimes see bubbles blowing on her nostrils and she yawns at times but no ri symptoms nostrils are still visible and still active and eating however there has been excessive eye scratching for a week now and ive been applying eye drops on her. Her mid and bottom section plastron havent hardened since september 2020 and ive seen no growth until now. She weighs 68g as of now

A tortoise isn't going to drink when soaked twice a day, and you won't see urates either, because the tortoise is so well hydrated.

The bubbles are a problem. What are you using for night heat? Do you have a basking lamp for daytime? Do you have a UV bulb? What type?

I use a che on thermostat set for 31 degrees at night and during the day basking is at 33 degrees celcius as for uv i sunbathe my sulcata for 1 hour or 2 outside depending on the conditions with shade and if there's no sun outside due to rain i provide calcium with d3 but if sun is available i supplement with cuttlebone powder

I'd set the thermostat for 27. 31 day and night is a bit high.

The basking temp should be 36-37 directly under the bulb. The overall ambient of the enclosure should rise up to 31-33 during the day, but cool to 27 at night when the lights are off.

Calcium, with or without D3, should only be supplemented a couple times per week. Its fine to allow access to cuttlebone every day, but I wouldn't put calcium, in any form, on the food every day.

The main reason i set it to 31 is actually because its the rainy seaskn here and temperature can drop to 24 celcius and when i put my baby in a reptile hotel a few weeks ago with no night heat she's been having a slight ri but now i dont think she has it anymore and i do in fact put cuttlebone in her enclosure but she rarely bites it now. I supplement calcium 2x a week monday and friday and a vitamin spray on sunday. Good news is she peed today because previously around december to march i did in fact see her drink in her soaks but now i never see her drink nor pee so i do get worried at times.
