Very nice. I worry about that substrate. If they ingest it along with their food it might cause impaction.

we drove for about 30 minutes to get their favorite food, Hibiscus
What a wonderful Sunday it was..

~ A word from experience and many unpleasant conversations about feeding unknown food sources to your aldabras. Pesticides, etc. are toxic and easily cause death to tortoises ~

Just a note on substrata. I find sand to not be a problem unless you feed them on it. That's when it gets on the food and they ingest it.

I put food for mine on a flat rock. And I feed mine a tort food along with greens.

If greens and flowers were fertilized with a systemic ( fertilizer mixed with an insect repellant ) it remains in the plant a long time. They may also have been sprayed with an insect repellant. That is the danger with store / bought or unknown plants.

Folks who raise their food leave store bought plants in ground up to a year before feeding

Greens from grocery store just need rinsed. They are okay.
