Hi all, I recently got a 6 month old Sulcata from a local breeder here in south florida and I have noticed a dark stain around his mouth that wont go away. My internet searches pull up mouth rot. Attached are some pics. Anyone have any ideas or am I just over reacting?

That looks like the stains of eating greens. Take a white facecloth, wet it, then rub the mouth with it. If green color comes off, just continue to clean his mouth until most of it comes off. It's nothing to worry about.

When introducing the face cloth to your baby, try to go very slowly so that you don't spook him. Perhaps, when feeding him, you should continuously wipe his mouth clean from mazuri, greens, or whatever foods he's eating. This way he'll be use to it.

Btw, that baby doesn't look like 6 months. He looks like he could just be about two months old!

Thank you for the updated picture I agree with Sibi looks like nothing more then a green face from his/her food. I don't see any swelling or abscess. And yes he /she seems a little younger the 6 months.
