My adult female tortoise laid eggs in November for the first time and I decided to keep them in the ground and not incubate them. Well a month later, it was time to lay her eggs again and she went back to the same spot. I was concerned about her damaging the first clutch that was already in that spot? Question, what does everyone else do if they leave their eggs in the ground? Should I be blocking off the area after she lays her eggs? Thanks:)

Depending on the size of the tortoise it might need to be a pretty big box, lol
