it’s been really chilly here in FL... my sulcata is sleeping and pooping and peeing but isn’t eating much unless it’s his mazuri. I soak him daily and he’s at 80+ constantly... he’s been like this since it’s been chilly. When it’s warm enough out (with sun) I put him outside and he eats whatever I provide for him!!!! Help

Key word- chilly. Toe rats can tell when it’s winter, whether it being the amount of daylight hour or something else. However, since this is not a hibernating tortoise, I could be wrong, and you should definitely get another answer.

Could he just be being picky, and only wanting to eat mazuri? It’s called tortoise crack for a reason ;)

As long as he is eating some things, I wouldn't worry. Just my opinion, not as knowledgeable as others here.
