I've recently completed a new enclosure for my 2-year old GPP. It's an 8x3 wooden structure that's been sealed to death and lined with a pond skin. The enclosure is adequate in terms of temps and substrate, but it's boring as can be.

I purchased a new CHE today and the site I bought it from had some pesticide-free succulents available for a decent price. I called to inquire about them being safe for torts, and they assured me that they were.

They weren't terribly expensive, so I went ahead and bought 6 of them. Does anyone have experience with using succulents in enclosures? I'm assuming he's going to at least attempt to eat them, so if there are any to avoid, please enlighten me.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Most succulents are edible, with the exception of all those in the Euphorbia family. You will know a Euphorbia by its milky sap.

My leopard goes through phases with succulents. One month he may devour any and all in sight. Then for a few months he won't touch them.. Go figure.
I think they are a great choice for enclosure decor.
