Substrate advice for young sulcata and Russian tortoise

Hello everyone! We just got a young Sulcata (about 13” and 20lbs) and a 5 year Russian tortoise. We want to provide it with the best care and would appreciate advice about substrate for both. Can they both have the same substrate (separate enclosures of course). What is the best substrate for each species? Does it need to be damp? If so, how damp? Do we need to be concerned about humidity at their size (age)? Thank you so much for all your advice!
