This is a common weed in our area, called spotted spurge or prostrate spurge. The tortoise table says it is toxic. Arizona exotic animal hospital says it is edible. Anyone have any more definite information? Is this stuff healthy or not for my 6 year-old sulcata?

Hi.
According to the Tortoise table website it is on the do not feed list.
Yes, I noted that the tortoise table website says it is toxic and the Arizona exotic animal hospital says it is ok to feed. My question is how do I know which to believe? Does anyone have further information about toxicity of the plant, any experience with it?

It's not ok for all tortoise species, however, the desert tortoises that inhabit western U.S. eat it regularly. It is high in oxalates.
