[split] new with a question about Aldabra

How do aldabras do with children? Do you need to worry about them biting? Also, how would an Aldabra do in a colder winter climate?

If you get the tortoise used to hand feeding, then, yes...you run the risk of your tortoise biting youngsters. If the tortoise associates you with food, he will follow you for a hand-out, and bite whatever part of you is available.

* True, they can bite very hard and for sure injure someone!
