I'd like the Tortoise Library to serve most tortoise species, but I don't know enough about other species to do them justice. Anyone want to tackle some of them with me?

You can use the template I am using for the other genus pages, and I can help with things like formatting, links, etc. Just copy a page (probably the Manouria would be best) to a word processor, change the info to your species, and send it to me.
You'll get credit at the top and bottom of the page.
And don't worry about being 100% perfect- we'll ask the forum to review it when it is posted for peer reviews.
I prefer to work by genus or groups rather than individual pages, so want pages for:
- North American tortoises- Gopherus
- Mediterranean tortoises- Testudo
- Island Giant tortoises
- The Chaco and Peter's tortoises (South American herbivorus tortoises)
- South African tortoises- Stigmochelys, Psammobates, Chersina, and Homopus
- Central African species- pancakes, sulcatas (do they make sense to group?)
- Madagascar tortoises- Pyxis, Astrochelys
- Indian tortoises- Geochelone
- Russians (unless it fits neatly in some other group)
(I am going to start Indotestudo soon, which is why it is not on the list)
If you asked me about prioritization, I would go by how commonly it is kept.
