Ideas? I found it in an area with all the usual suspects: thistle, mallow, burr clover. It grows in a clumping manner, off a central stem. The leaves range from tiny to the size of a small thumb; they grow in a circular manner around the stem. Mature leaves are rounded arrow shape. Tastes green! :)

I've gone through every broadleaf image in the UC Davis database and don't think I have a match.

I'm not attached to feeding it, but I'm a little bummed I can't tell what it is!

I have that on the outside of my pasture. I don't know the name, but it grows from runners under the ground and pops up in a new location. I'd be willing to bet it is a relative to the morning glory.

I wouldn't be surprised. It has a bit of a red or rusty color to some of the stems that looks right for that family.

Not regular field bindweed, because some of that came up with it!

Thank you. Looks like we've recovered some room in the vegetable bin; my husband will be relieved.
