Just wondering if anyone has any ideas what these might be?
They are growing on a bush in South Florida and are about 1/2" round.
They are full of tiny white seeds & have a sweetish taste.
They smell like a tomato but dont have any leaves where the stem meets the fruit, like the tomato does.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

If it contains long sturdy thin needle like thorns and a thin skin it maybe a “flying dragon plant”. Very sweet skin and bitter seed filled inside.
Thanks for the suggestion!
The bush in Florida doesn't have any thorns on it, but I appreciate your help.
I enjoy reading about these fruits that are new to me!

I would check out the flying dragon bush as well. It’s a citrus, although not one we’d eat on purpose. Take a look a look.

Except the leaves on your bush don't have tomato plant leaves.
The fruit on this bush are real small, about the size of a round grape. It's odd because it has so many seeds. They are throughout the entire fruit, all the way to the skin.
Thank you for the idea!

I checked out the flying dragon bush, but the fruit on this bush has a fleshy inside and no segments like a citrus fruit has.
Thanks again for your help!

I thought of this too, as i HAVE these on my property, transplanted from wild ones growing in the next county. Kind of invasive. Seeds and peel very bitter, almost no flesh, but the small amount of juice is very nice lemony flavor.
