Fox attack. Make sure your tortoises are secure from predators when outside.

Be careful folks. This lovely pair of Marginated Tortoises got attacked by a fox today, have been treated with pain relief, anti-inflammatories, fluid therapy for shock, disinfection & antibiotics. Should heal fine, but important to keep in secure enclosures when unsupervised outdoors.

This didn't happen to me, I saw it on facebook and it is something I always worry about. I stand guard over my Dax when she is outside.
