Herman is almost three months old. I haven't really been concerned until now. The sides of his shell and underside are still very soft.
I'm wondering if this is normal? If not, what can I do to fix it? Other than the shell, he's eating fine and he's pretty active for a few hours a day exploring his house and things.
I'm just a bit concerned about him and any help/advice is appreciated.
I have previous tortoise experience and knowledge, this is just my first time with a hatchling.

This is little Herman after his bath time.

He's a baby there shells are soft at first then will harden over time . As long as its not mushy and it fills lick a plastic lid on a bowl its fine . If its mushy that's not ok. More calcium and uvb to fix mushy shells .

I have a juvenile and his under shell is a little soft too. Don't be worried!
