small spot flaked off shell.....

couple days ago this spot looked fine to the eye today we noticed this spot. its hard underneath and doesnt seem to bother them i gently checked to see if any of the surrounding area would come off. cleaned with chlorhexadine and applied some cream to it and cleaned excess off. im pretty sure it will heal but can anyone tell me what this might be? it did look a bit dry for a few days and they recently had a big growth spurt.

just want to add they are VERY WELL cared for. we make sure they have proper calcium. uvb (indoor and outdoor), proper temps, humidity etc etc. my wife is VERY crazy about how she cares for them. these were a couple of our rescues and they are looking amazing after the year we have had them. we have 7 others and this is the only one with a spot like this. i dont think they could have injured on anything in their pen as far as concrete or anything like that. we check temps all the time i dont see anything burning them.
