I have 2 baby sulcatas. This afternoon I noticed one of them had their skin around the ear hole is turning white (both sides). Does anyone know what this is / what causes it?

the other one seems to be normal color. Their diet consists of soaked orchard hay, grazing tortoise grass mix (that I grow myself), and sometimes store bought veggies - they’re eating collard greens in the photos attached.

I would separate them. Search the forum for keeping tortoises in pairs.

The white skin is old skin being shed. Perfectly normal.

Snakes do it tidily all in one go. Humans do it in tiny bits that become house dust. Torts do it in patches and look downright scruffy at times.

No potions needed. The skin will rub off as the torts go about their business

As for the pairs thing, this isn’t a social species and sooner or later one will start picking on the other. They don’t get lonely and don’t need a friend. Mental bullying is common and the victim can become very sick very quickly. Being hatch mates doesn’t make a difference and neither does gender. You should plan on housing these separately as soon as possible.
