Has anyone used oral liquid Droncit for the treatment of fluke worms? Any feedback on your experience would be appreciated.

Also, any advice for giving a 35 pound ,strong male Sulcata an oral liquid medication? I don't want to waste it with a failed attempt just to shoot it into his mouth.

I was thinking about trying to squirt it into some food, maybe a fruit treat? Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

I am also scared to shoot it in his mouth because I am worried he would aspirate the liquid. Does anyone think that this could happen? If not my plan is to hold out some cactus and as his mouth opens squirt it in between bites???? I hope it does not have a bad taste or we are done for!!!

It was my understanding that Droncit was only to be administered IM, two doses, 10 days apart.

Mix it with pumkin puree. From what I have read online sulcata's love pumkin and will eat it all up.

Here is the link:http://www.sulcata-station.org/diet.html
At this site it talks about using it to give sulcatas calcium but here is the direct quote
"Sulcata love pumpkin puree, so anything mixed with the pumpkin will be eaten!"
I hope that helps!

Droncit = Praziquantel...........can be given as in injection (very common in dogs and cats) or orally, which is recommended in torts.
