I have a baby sulcata thats about 2-3 months old based on what the pet store told me anyway. I have had the baby for about a month now. When we first took the tort home he seemed to be a normal hatchling. Eatting drinking an roaming. About a week later he started to be less active wouldnt take any water an seemed to sleep alot. I contact a vet an took him in within 2 days of noticing him being sick. The vet gave him a shot of antibiotics an advised us to raise the temp to around 90-95 and to return in about three to five days to get another injection of antibiotics an at that time she start an oral and an eye antibiotic. He has done a 360 from where he was at. He started eatting an drinking an moving he was back jack.. Along the way i ran across this forum that told me all about the humidity an temps an i have followed Toms advice 100%. Now heres the problem today i noticed a dark (atleast it looks dark) liquid in his belly. I hope I can explain this so it makes sense. If I hold him in my hand flat on his belly an then with one finger on each side lift him up so that his belly is now facing me i can see the liquid move almost like when hes flat it separates an then when i turn him it all pools together at the bottom of his belly. Guys im desperate. I have spent weeks trying to save this little guys life countless hours trying to save him from an upper respiratory infection that i beat with high temps high humidity an a nebulizer ever six hours I cant just give up please can someone tell me this is normal an that im just losing my mind an i over looked this through all the other stuff an its always been like this.
