Hi All,

I'm a little late in posting these, as this was completed in December, but here ya go. This is based on Tom's design and has been working out great!

All the framing is done

Added sides and the bottom. I didn't have a jigsaw at the house so the front had to wait.

The frame on the floor is where the oil heater will be. I put the 2x2's there so I would have something to screw the walls to that would surround the heater.

Almost there. Just need to paint the lid and make the doorway a little smaller. Shelly was only 4" tall at this point, but I want this house to last a long, long time. I made the opening large and then filled it in, so that I could easily remove the piece when she get's bigger.

I built a tunnel to attached her new heated house to her existing outside enclosure.

She figured it out right away :)

The next project is to give her more room in the yard. I'm an accountant and in the middle tax season, so that'll have to wait until after April 15th. At least now I know she's warm at night.

Thanks Tom for your great ideas!

Tammie

What a great outdoor enclosure. I like the attachment too. That was smart :) You may have to widen the attachment after a while. You know how big sullies can get!

Very well done! I always love seeing the new, creative, ideas people come up with. I'm sure your sulcata is very happy.

This looks great. Very innovative way to do things.

Fantastic! I love seeing the slight variations among the different "Tom design" heated houses that so many of us have made. Thanks for sharing!

We had quite a bit of rain last week and I wasn't able to take any pics, because I had Shelly's enclosure covered with a tarp. Now that things have dried out a bit I snapped a few shots :)

This is her full enclosure. I know it's on the small size for her, but it keeps her safe when I'm not home. She gets to roam supervised while I'm home. After tax season we'll be sectioning off a part of the yard for her.

As you can see I have a webcam in her enclosure so I can keep an eye on her while I'm away ;-) I was a little paranoid about leaving her when I went away for the weekends. Now I'm just addicted to watching her throughout the day. :D

I really like what you have done here. Some great ideas. My only suggestion is to add a shelf for some trays of water to provide humidity in the heated house. It can get pretty dry in there.
