Shell rot question....

Also, if it is new growth, wouldn't it have disappeared by now? How long would it take for the new growth to become the same color as the old growth? I still am leaning toward some kind of shell rot, but you have more experience than I with red foots :) Please elaborate for me. If you have pictures of your own torts with new growth, please show them.

New growth is sometimes pale, especially if the growth has been rapid. It usually darkens, but it can also become mottling or marbling- which is kind of common in Red-foots.

It really doesn't look like anything to worry about to me, either.

Okay, so then is the general consensus that I should cease the nolvasan and chlotrimazole treatment and see how the patches progress?

Also, It doesn't seem as though he is a canidate for mottling or marbling, since he is already a large tortoise and not brazilian.
