Does tortoise shells get dry? I noticed today that my baby golden greek is getting like white stuff on its shell, kinda like she is ashy. Is that normal? I know the breeder I got her from says that he would rub the babies with some type of balm moisturizer stuff. Does anybody else do that? If so what do you use? Her humidity on the cool end is around 50% and on the warm end is around 30% and I never have to mist the cage or the humidity goes way up. Not sure what to do. Would really appreciate some advice.

Thanks!

Are you talking about white lines on the top of her shell (growth rings)?

Yea, here is a photo I just took while she was eating this morning. You can see towards the back of her shell where she has the white stuff, kinda looks ashy right? Is this normal?
