Hi all
I inherited this tortoise from my parents, his name is Fred, although I'm not 100% sure he's a male. He's quite old, not sure how old but he's definitely a lot older than me and I'm 38.
Anyways, he's got this small chip on his shell which doesn’t seem to be getting better, it isn't getting any worse either, he had a it for at least a year, I'm sure he had it last year too. Not sure what type of tortoise he is either, he's just a regular garden tortoise, we put him away for winter in hay and a box. Thr foxes occasionally get hold of him but never take him very far.
I read about putting a resin on tortoise shells to protect them until they heal, do you think this will help him,? any suggestions of product I could purchase here in the UK for it?
Thanks everyone for any advice ?
