Ruby and Sunny enjoying a soak.

Yay you got them! Congrats, they're super adorable. And you're right.. your Sunny looks a lot like mine from the color of her head to the dirty blonde colored shell :D

My Brazilian Redfoot is approx 8mos old. Her name is Professor Sweet Potato! She likes to burrow (just her leggies) in the same spot ever day. She goes bonkers over mushrooms and waxworms and she sticks her WHOLE head under water to get a drink! It's super cute!ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1407201164.011751.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1407201190.446382.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1407201201.796860.jpg

Then we have my little Columbian Redfoot, Dr. Bubbles! Also 8mos. He is a whole ounce heavier than the Professor. He EATS anything. He eats seconds. And his favorite is... well everything. :D he likes to chill in his log most of the day. He seems more social than the other one. (Probably because when he sees me, that equals FOOD.)ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1407201467.936627.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1407201520.055781.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1407201535.857168.jpg

I want to know how yall get your torts to be so lively! My guy gramps is just under a year and all he comes out of hiding for is food and water. Other than that he burrows away.

They hide A LOT when they're little. I used to pull them out of hiding a couple times a day to show them where their water hole was and food slate rock. And a good soak.

I got mine in March. Now they come out and explore more. Sometimes I hide little pieces of mushroom in the enclosure to encourage exploration. They seem to be growing out of their shyness. If I put my face in their view and start babbling my lil Tortoise nicknames at them, they come out. Looking for food! I'd like to think they want to see ME. But Lol nope! :D

And my cactus is starting to grow outside. :) I got my guy "Gramps" tho im thinking of changing that, in April. And he still hides alot. :/ oh well. If anyone really wants to help they could send me a proper diet care sheet. I feel im getting conflicting information. Thanks! !!

Right here TarHee, https://sites.google.com/site/tortoiselibrary/nutrition/good-foods-list. I read this entire page thoroughly. And I go back to it frequently to refer to the food list. :)
