Sexing M.E.P

I am guessing it is a male because of the long tail and wider anal scutes, but i have seen a several pics and this looks like a female anal scute too, I am really confused at sexing it :/ If anyone could provide a guideline that would be helpful .. Really hate flipping it over :/

The Manouria species is sometimes a bit hard to distinguish. It helps if you have one of each, side by side, then you can see the slight differences. When I had my full grown Mep living here it was very easy to tell the male from the females. Darth (male) has a big rounded gular. Not at all like your tortoise's gular. How big is your tortoise? It could just be that he's not big enough yet to have the full male characteristics. He certainly DOES have a big male tail, but so far that's about it.
