Found him while shoveling mulch into a cart to haul elsewhere. We have a company that we have an agreement with that they can dump their shredded tree mulch on the property instead of having to drive 35+ miles to their approved dump location. This beautiful guy was in the middle halfway down the pile. I'm worried he came from wherever this pile is from (was dumped yesterday) but he looked really healthy and was active, clear eyed, a good solid weight (not too heavy, not too skinny), and had all toes. So besides the slight damage to the top of his shell, he seemed perfectly healthy and perfect. So after snapping some photos, I walked over to a stream on the property and said my goodbyes. Hopefully he is from the area here and just decided to dig into that pile, I'm worried about how far away his actual home range could be.

The only other time I've seen a wild EBT, the poor girl was crushed on the road, and this was a year ago. So seeing such a healthy, robust EBT in the wild here gives me hope.
