Yes, it is actually a rubbermaid container with holes drilled in the bottom, sunk down into the soil (on a layer of gravel).
Backfilled with soil/cypress mulch.
Then a frame of 2x6's around the part that is above ground, with the removable lid (pond liner roof) on top.
That way I don't worry as much about it flooding.
She loves it, both torts often use it.
