russian tortoise, shell rot?

I am new to this, have a tortoise that I saved from a big dog that just loved to lick it for 3-4 hours, she eats like a champ, very alert, but the shell looks funny to me.not same detail over top area, as if black was removed and washed out, can anyone let me know what they think. How do you treat shell rot? having trouble downloading picture. thanks
