Hello,
I’m going to be taking in a male Russian tortoise in a few days and wanted to confirm that he is a Russian. Based on what I’ve found online, he looks like a Russian tortoise - Pakistan locale (Testudo horsefieldii horsefieldii). I could be wrong, I was just going based off of photos I have of him which I’ve included in this post.
Eventually, I’d like to have him in with several female Russians. Is that ok with his more specific sub categorization? Did I classify him correctly?

Note: he needs a beak and nail trim, and enclosure overhaul which I’ve already started working on
