Hi
I recently adopted an adult female Russian. she's rather large & named Oosy. We live in San Diego CA. I think she can be outside year round.
i'm putting in pavers into my tiny city backyard and going to create an outdoor space for her & my beardies. Oosy's space will be about 5x6x8 triangle. Since i've heard about their escape antics, i figured i'd run this by everyone to insure i do it right the first time LOL
I'm planning on digging a foot down around the edges, placing pavers continuously on all 3 walls.
While i don’t think i’ll ever not have a tort, i may sell my condo & want to make the tort enclosure suitable to conversion into a flower bed/nature area

- should i put a layer of mesh wire in the entire space under the walls of the enclosure?
- Should the inside of the walls be smooth or can they be the texture of cinder block?
- Is twice the length of my tort really enough height for the walls?
