Hi! Was just wondering if this is normal? Pumpkin has been having some ridging to her plastron, she will be one year in July. I have her on mixed coco coir, cypress mulch and some areas of Pete moss and spaghnum moss, with a humid hide. Humidity ranges from 50-70 with a basking area and temps are normally 80-85. She eats mazuri, dandelion greens, mixed tortoise weeds I grow and mixed greens. No problems with eating or drinking, I soak her daily sometimes twice a day depending on how hot it is when I let her roam outside. No problems with urates or pooping. Any help/advice would be appreciated! Thank you!!

I have an Eastern Hermann’s tortoise who turned a year old in the beginning of May and his plastron has those ridges as well. I’ve been told it’s normal and nothing to worry about. Supposedly it flattens out as they grow larger.

Edit: I forgot to mention how beautiful she is. I just love the colourful shell of a young Hermann’s. The patterns and symmetry of the markings are amazing.
