I do not own a redfoot, nor do I know how they are raised. I do know the temps are higher with higher humidity levels. And the care is very important with these guys. What do you guys think by looking at these pictures how this little guy is doing? First, I do know he is definitely in a very dry terrarium fish tank cage that is usually shared with another species it said a greek tortoise. Someone must have recently bought the greek because I did not see it in there. They definitely shouldn’t be mixing the two different species together. We ALL know that. I wanted to show some photos on how these guys are thriving here for the time being before they go. (Which is pretty fast) they get new shipments every Tuesday usually. Animals sell like crazy here especially the tortoises. Hoping they go to trustworthy homes. I just hate seeing the conditions they are in while being here observing them.

I don't think he looks that bad now. With that substrate and no humidity he wont grow smooth. That water dish looks like a hazard and obviously he can't get to the water too easily.

What's even more sad, are the breeders that sell to pet stores without making sure they care for them correctly.

I dont understand why ppl like to make threads about tortoises in bad conditions. Save ur energy and talk to the pet store about it. We already know most pet stores give terrible care

If you saw on other posts you would already know they don’t care, or ignore your advice..

U will see this in any petco or petsmart u go into.. its nothing new
