Reputable breeders to purchase tortises from on line ?

Hi everyone.. It has been years since I have had my last tortise and decided it is time to get back into it again. There are not many reputable stores around me and would prefer to purchase them from an actual breeder. I have just never delt with having reptiles shipped?? Any advice onwho is trustworthy to purchase from ?? I am looking for either red foots or sulcatas. Thanks.

Whereabouts in the world are you? Crossing national, or even state, boundaries can be a problem.

Also, what species are you interested in. They are not a general commodity

Take a look through the 'sold' section and make a note of the names of folks who have sold your type of tortoise in the past. We have many reputable members who raise and sell tortoises.

ditto to wellington's post but i would also like to add tropical torts (jrcrist from the breeders list) i got my red foot hatchling from him back in Feb and it's doing great
