Hello! I've recently found myself responsible for a red eared slider when my housemate moved and abandoned him/her. I don't know much about it but I've been reading online to take care of him/her as best as possible. Regardless, I don't really have the time and still feel it needs a better home. I'm not sure but in my opinion the tank is too small. I'm hoping someone has recommendations for ridding myself of it. I've reached out to sanctuaries near me but I haven't gotten responses and it has been a couple of months now. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thank you everybody, and I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Red ear sliders are a dime a dozen, and pretty hard to find homes for. You might offer it up free on craigslist.com.

A water turtle that has been living in an aquarium has a hard time acclimating to life outside in a pond, so make sure the people who contact you about taking the turtle plan to keep it in a larger aquarium in the house.
