I can’t find a thread for adoptions or rehoming, so I’m sorry if this isn’t the place for this!

My husband and I have had two male sulcatas (approx 15 and 17) for about 3 years now. They were not so healthy when we got them, living in a tiny tortoise table with no humidity, and being fed dog food. =( They’ve grown a lot since we got them, aren’t having any more pyramiding, and are relatively loving life as food disposals in our back yard. We are able to keep them outside year round since they have an insulated and heated hut inside our garden shed.

Anyway, they weren’t fighting when we got them, but then that started, as expected with two territorial males. We’ve since moved, but we still don’t have the room for both of them to be separate in our backyard.

So we would like to do what is best for them both, separate them and rehome one of them, Frank. I would love the possibility of an extended foster situation, but that’s difficult because I can’t tell you how long we’ll be in our current home or when we’ll be able to take him back. That being said, I would understand if a foster situation didn’t work out, but I would really love to find someone who would be willing to let us visit sometimes, be their friend on Facebook to see updates, etc. We love him very much and it’s heartbreaking to have to make a decision like this, but I know it’s what’s best for them both. I also have a video, but I can’t figure out how to attach it. IMG_0235.jpg

Greetings, sad day for u I’m sure. Hopefully, someone will step in and help!

For video, you first have to upload your video to YouTube and then copy the YT URL into your posting here, Thats one of the easiest ways.

Good luck.

You could also contact the Mid-Atlantic Turtle and Tortoise Society. They help in these situations as well.
