I live in St.Louis Missouri. My neighbor left a giant turtle. I have taken care of it for a year now, but unfortunately, I have to move too. this turtle came with a 40G tank. It definitely needs a bigger space if possible. It is a big slider turtle. The previous owner said it might be over 10 year old.

Let me know if you know anybody who might be able to take care of it. Or if you know any shelter which might accept turtles. Thank you very much

Whatever you do, DON'T find a pond and turn it loose. Captive turtles don't do well when released, and besides that, it's illegal to do so. If push comes to shove, and you can't find a new home by using craigslist.com or some such, then see if the local animal shelter will take it.

Post it in faunaclassifieds.com
Also call local pet stores to see if they will take it.
Look in local neighborhood apps to see if anyone close by has a pond they could add him too. Their may also be a local pond club, try to find them.
