So I just got my first red foot yesterday from the Seattle metro reptile expo. I was just wondering what is your guys feeding schedule like and what do you feed your torts. Every site I see says something different can you please tell me the most reliable site too please. Thanks

This is the place to listen to. How old is your red foot? Mine's a baby, only about 2 months old, and I feed him once a day. I do two days of greens, one day of fruit - repeat. I add mazuri in a few times a week. This is what I do for the age - it will change as it gets older.

Go to the redfoot section on here and you will find everything you need. However, this is a good site as well and what I've been following mostly (with some tweaks):

My reds are almost one year old. I offer them a wide variety of foods which comes from a list of foods provided by the Tortoise library. http://www.tortoiselibrary.com

One of their favorites seems to be squash. I buy a whole butternut squash, peel it, boil it like potatoes for only 5-7 min. so you don't cook away the nutrients. And I portion it into sandwich baggies and put it in the freezer so I can use it as often as I need. I do the same with kale.

For protein I buy a small bag of frozen salad shrimp. I put a few of those in a bowl of warm water to thaw it out. They really go nuts for shrimp!
