I guess a tortoise in a hot place basking is just as good as a rock to a snake.

And if the rock keeps walking to warmer spots then all the better

I wonder if that tortoise was originally captive. Not a shell I would expect from a wild tortoise.
Anyway, pretty cool. The snake is smart. Getting a ride and heat from above and below.
